the Academy for the Art of Ministry rests with Rev.Brenda Grauer, founder of In Stitches¸ and ordained by the United Church of Christ as a Minister of the Arts. 

Commencing her professional ministry at In Stitches in 1992, Brenda has created thousands of liturgical fabric art pieces for clergy and churches across this country, taught in theological seminaries and at local, regional, and national church events, and has served as artistic director, liturgical consultant, educational consultant, and worship leader for myriad national church gatherings. 

She is passionate about engaging the arts in ministry and understands that the vitalization of the Church requires the involvement of all that is creative, aesthetic, and holy.
